Yes, Virginia, Green is a Fall Color
It’s the season for oranges, yellows, reds, and browns.
But greens?
Yes, Virginia, green is a fall color.
Hear me out: I know in so many areas of the country, green all but disappears from the landscape by Halloween. But fall, a season of harvest is also the time of year that pays homage to the deepest of earthy tones.
And it doesn’t get earthier than green.
Last year, when I was hunting for goblets for my Thanksgiving tablescape, my mom mentioned having “autumn green” goblets I could borrow. I had never heard that term used before.
And I have fully embraced “autumn green” this season.
I even bought some lovely soft linen pillow cases in a beautiful shade of olive green for my fall couch. They beautifully supplement the earthy tones in my living room and add so much seasonal warmth.
Try adding a little green to your fall decor, and watch how beautifully it fits in with all of those oranges and browns.
Green is definitely a fall color. Change my mind.
