Friday Finds: Week 1
This week, I’m introducing a new feature on the blog: Friday Finds. In each Friday Finds post, I’ll share my recent thrift finds. All of these picked pieces give off the warmest, most fall vibes. Read on to take a peek.
Vintage Colored Glassware
My most prized recent find was an absolutely gorgeous Tiara by Indiana Glass punch bowl with twelve matching glasses. The best part was that I picked it up on 50% off day for a total steal. I’m ready to host all of the fall-themed parties and Thanksgiving dinners just for the chance to break out this beauty.
I also picked up a sweet little creamer and some additional Whitehall by Indiana Glass green dessert dishes to go with my larger set.
Vintage Wool Blankets
I’ve picked up two of these in the past month. Vintage wool blankets just scream cozy season. I always make a beeline for the linens area to see if I can score one. With its creams, browns, and oranges, this find was the perfect addition to my cozy family room. The others will make the coziest companions on late nights out by the fire pit.
Vintage Coat Rack
Without a proper mud room or walls in which to place pieces of furniture to store our coats and shoes, I’m always on the hunt for pieces that can fill that void. When I stumbled upon this vintage petite coat rack, I knew I needed it for our entrance. The hooks are vintage brass with the best patina, and it fits just perfectly beside our cabinet that stores our backpacks and bags.
Hand-Painted Cow Paper Towel Holder
This little guy is a mystery. At first, I was convinced that the base was a trivet that someone had attached to the cast-iron rod with a hand-painted cow at the top. But I’m just not sure. With our previous paper towel rack, my husband would always remove the paper towels and leave them around the kitchen. Something about the bottom stopper getting in the way of the paper towel ripping. This one, however, seems to suit his paper towel usage better; it’s been an entire week since we started using it, and the paper towels have remained on the holder. It’s a true thrift miracle.
I love thrifting because the finds are always unpredictable. Stay tuned for the next addition!
