Fall Cottage Kitchen Tour

It brings me such joy to craft little corners of our cottage that reflect the seasons. And our fall cottage kitchen is always one of my favorite iterations of this space.

When we pulled the doors off our upper cabinets once upon a time, a big reason for that, aside from creating the illusion of a bigger kitchen, was to be able to display our vintage pretties. So each fall, I add in some vintage fall touches on the shelves with such joy.

There’s the Hall fall leaves nestled bowl set. The fun vintage squirrel ceramic. The vintage pottery tureen with the loveliest shades of fall colors. And in a few weeks, I plan to go crazy with my vintage turkey salt and pepper shaker set adorning the shelves.

Those big pumpkins are actually candles, and I snagged those from the thrift store on half price day last week. They’re a little beat up, but I don’t even care. They’re just so fun!

And over in my German shrunk, I’ve pulled out all of my favorite fall glassware. But my favorite part of the cabinet display is the amber punch bowl set. I also snagged that on a half price day at the thrift last year, and I thought I was going to throw a party right then and there for having found something so stunningly pretty. It sticks out a little too far to be able to display on my kitchen shelves, so it, unfortunately, feels a little hidden over in this corner. But I’ll bring it out for our family’s Thanksgiving celebration and fill it with my favorite spiced punch recipe.

The faux leaf garland used to actually go somewhere else, but this year I thought it would make a sweet little addition to the kitchen window.

But one of my favorite parts of this little mini transformation is the cute little hand towels I hang up as makeshift cafe curtains. They’re perfectly plaid and add in such seasonal warmth.

As my fall cottage kitchen collection grows each year, I’m sort of running out of storage space in between seasons. I have a few fall-specific storage totes up in the loft to hold some of the other goodies around the house, but most of my glassware I store in the hutch over in the sunroom. But after this year, that might actually not be an option.

So now I have to decide whether it’s time to part with some of these goodies. And our fall collection drop might be the perfect avenue for that! Stay tuned this weekend to our social media channels for more information.
