BC Condo Reno: Bathroom Plan
We’re moving along at the BC Condo project! We’ve finally crossed a threshold of sorts, where we’re starting to see our efforts result in beauty and transformation. It’s so exciting! I wanted to share with you our mood board for the project as well as our source list.
Before
The bathrooms were stereotypical 1980s, with the old mounted medicine cabinets and porcelain holders. One bathroom even gave us the gift of wallpaper to remove. However, with an entirely wooden vanity base, we felt like we had a good foundation to transform this space within a very reasonable budget.
The Vision
We’re going very modern in this space, choosing not only trendy colors but also trendy finishes within the space. I wanted it to feel luxurious and custom without an insane price tag. We’re hoping a little elbow grease will make the bathrooms really shine.
One of the elements we plan to incorporate is an accent wall. This isn’t so much for modernity as it is to solve a problem. In removing so many of the dated elements of the wall, we needed a way to avoid a lengthy drywall project. This was the perfect way to patch up the voids left by the removed items in a way that was fresh and unique.
