Another Day, Another Table Cloth Curtain
This week, my table cloth curtain era continued with a set of Target table cloths and a set of bare windows in our formal living room.
This room has, on the whole, a more masculine feel. However, I love to decorate the mantel to reflect the season. I wanted a print that both stayed true to the room’s “normal” decor while playing nice with a changing mantel. With leather chairs and black and white photography on the walls, the curtains effortlessly tie everything together. The curtains also look great with our very Valentine’s Day-themed mantel (which will transition next week).
The windows are very narrow, so I opted for a single curtain panel pushed to the side. I’ve seen it done before, but I was kind of afraid it would drive me nuts. However, the curtain on the window on the opposite side of the fireplace balances it out with the curtain sitting on the opposite side of the window.
Each panel was $14 on sale. Again, my husband hung them exactly how he hung both my drop cloth curtains and my library table cloth curtains.
I can’t get over how much the curtains in both spaces have just really added so much character and have softened the boxiness of the windows and blinds.
Now, on to the table cloth curtains for my bedroom.
